Dr. Terry Carson and Dr. Randall Stitts Promotions

Dr. Terry Carson (left)has been promoted to Dean of Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College. Dr. Randall Stitts has been promoted to Chair of the Department of Business Administration. Together, Carson and Stitts will lead RGC’s education professionals in Eagle Pass, Del Rio, Uvalde, and surrounding cities. 

Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Terry Carson to Dean effective August 15, 2009. Carson took over as acting dean of RGC after Dr. Frank Abbott suffered a stroke late November 2008. 

Abbott had been dean of RGC since 1985, but will no longer be serving in that capacity. Abbott will be assuming a position as Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor and General Counsel of the Texas State University System and will retain an office on the Uvalde campus. Carson’s position as Chair of the Department of Business Administration will now be filled by Dr. Randy Stitts effective August 15, 2009 as well.
